Re: Youtube video on the making of Stormy
Patreek I can't speak for Jazzy, but as someone who made custom Stormy dolls to sell on ebay circa 2004, I couldn't find that fabric. And believe me, I tried. I ended up making my own, by using green fabric with a layer of shiny plastic over it and sewing them together, for every custom Stormy I sol...

Garage Sale Finds
I was out at our citywide garage sales last weekend, and came across a Starlite Saves the Day book, and a twin Rainbow Brite comforter. My collection has been in storage since I got married 8 years ago, but I just couldn't resist buying them! My five year old has a set of Rainbow Brite sheets...

getting married
Congratulations on your engagement! I'm glad you're incorporating the rainbow into it, sounds like it will be beautiful. And I agree with everyone who says go for whatever you want! My cousin had a Harley Davidson themed wedding...not my thing but hey, it's their wedding and every couple should do w...

Rainbow Brite prototype collection
WOW. I am just blown away by this, it's so exciting! As someone who collects vintage RB pretty seriously, my heart was actually pounding looking at these! Congrats on your awesome find, I am SO jealous! I remember looking at your website, probably close to ten years ago now when I started adding to ...

Re: Which of Red Butler's shoes are more common, plain or star?
Actually Tom, you have the rarer version. Unlike Rainbow and Patty, star shoe Red is much more common than the plain version. I have both and it took me awhile to find one in good condition with the plain shoes.

Re: RB Dress up doll star comb question
I have a Moonglow comb, it is pale peachy pink. Dress Up Rainbow Brite has the red comb. The yellow and orange combs came with the Rainbow Brite house/carrying case, not with the dolls. I believe the picture on the box actually shows a green comb, but I have never seen the green comb on ebay or anyw...

Re: I had a baby!
Thanks so much everyone! Rose Red, you'll have to have another one soon if you're jealous, I thought I remembered reading that you have a little girl of your own now, right? I can't imagine having two right now, but I'm sure when she's a little older I'll get antsy for at least one more.

Re: Stormy
Oops, I didn't realize at first that I could view a larger picture. Yes, after seeing that, I'm almost certain she's one of my customs. I agree with Jenny, Galacticatt's Stormy looked like a real prototype to me, but no way to be 100% certain. Details such as her hair and the comb that came with her...

Re: The Charactors
Starlite is my favorite character in the cartoon, I still laugh everytime he brags about himself or refuses to submit to something he considers beneath him.
Indigo is my favorite doll, with Patty O'Green, Tickled Pink and Moonglow all tied for second.
