Starlite PVC

Post by Sukey »

I recently came across a Starlite PVC at a toy convention. I was just curious about it. It was made in W. Germany- so these were only released in Germany? Are they rare? I have never seen any of the Rainbow Brite PVCs in person let alone a German one. Of course I had to buy it

Yes, that's him! So they weren't released in the US? He was cute and I couldn't pass him up :)

Me, too! I'm just surprised that it wasn't released in US and I found it at a toy convention. I may have to get some others someday. The Puppy Brite PVC looks really cute. Too bad they didn't make a Kitty Brite one.

Great find! I love that Starlite, he is so solid!

Here are my minis to share- The Minikins included Rainbow Brite, Red Butler, Twink, Starlite, Canary and Buddy Blue. The packaging is really cute, I've never found a MIP Starlite :D

The one to the left of the Minikins are from the UK. I think they are erasers. I've only got the one Buddy Blue still in his package. (There was Rainbow, Canary, Red, Buddy Blue, Twink and Romeo- and I THINK Lurky is an eraser guy too, although I've only ever seen him once.

The US figures are out front. (The ones off to the left are customs- I wanted a Kitty Brite too)

The poseables and stampers also managed to squeeze into the pic...

Cute! Did you make the Kitty Brite? How was it done- is it an existing PVC or is it made of clay? I'd like to see a close up pic if possible

Yes I made the Kitty Brite - just painted her with some acrylics. I think she was a Strawberry Shortcake Custard in her previous life :D

Sorry I don't have a close-up of her...
