Rare Estrella Rainbow Brite in a white box!

Wow, an honest to god UBER RARE RAINBOW!

According to galacticatt's guide it says:

Brazil version (rare loose or MIB) made by Estrella, not Mattel (dolls came in a white box made by Estrela and printed in Portuguese only). Dolls were made by Estrela instead of Mattel. As a result, the dolls have the same colors as the Mattel dolls released everywhere else, but were made from completely different fabrics. The dolls (11" and 18" only) have thick course YELLOW yarn hair, (not orange), and the dress and body is made from felt and lame instead of polyester. The big Brazil Rainbow also has a gold Estrela necklace.

I would not be surprised if she went for ten times the opening price or USD 400. I saw a MIB Small Red Bottom RB go for around USD 250 recently.

Does the hard-bodied Starlite on the back of the box have a solid orange tail? Is this the same as the US version? (You can tell I don't own the US version)

Did Estrella even make that product, or was it another prototype which was never put into production?

It was several months ago. The doll was in Australia. I doubt it's still available but you may want to search RB dolls by sell price. It would likely be the most expensive one this year.

That's an awesome find! Wish I had the $$ to bid on it.

I recognize the highest bidder and I think I know who he is. If I'm correct, he is a HUGE RB collector, and used to be on the old forums. It would be awesome to have him back. You almost never win anything once he's bid on something. Hooray for him though
