I know it's correct this time cos as we speak there are thousands of people down the road watching the big parade. Here in the UK there will be events and music and pub celebrations all week long, wohoo!

Yeah I think they were attempting to attract more people on a weekend, and it seems to have worked really well. I just read in the news there's been 80.000 people attending today, wow!! .. I didn't actually go to see it myself, kinda wish I had now but there's more events throughout the week so there's still a chance to celebrate
